ConDig (13-Dec-19).  A subsidiary of civil contractor and construction materials producer Granite Construction has secured a $16 million contract to upgrade sections of Interstate 94 (I-94) at Montrose Avenue in Cook County, Illinois.

Under the deal with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Kenny Construction Company will replace the superstructure and rehabilitate the substructure of I-94, including improvements to drainage and safety with new roadway and underdeck lighting.

Construction on the project is expected to kick off early next year and earmarked for completion in the fall of 2020.
