Primoris secures $21M gas line contract in Iowa

ConDig (15-May-17).  A division of construction and infrastructure company Primoris Services Corp has landed a $21 million three-year contract to install gas lines in Iowa.

Under the master service agreement with the unnamed utility provider, the Dallas, Texas-based company will install small and medium sized gas mains using conventional and horizontal directional drilling methods and associated tie-ins. It will also renew service lines to residential homes and the abandonment of existing lines.

Primoris said it estimates the deal, which was secured through its Q3 Contracting division, will generate about $7 million per year over the course of the contract.

The company recently posted net income of $7.7 million in the quarter ended March 31, up from $2.7 million in the same period last year, while revenue rose to a first quarter record of $561.5 million from $430.4 million in the first quarter of last year.
