Primoris secures $27M+ deal for mechanical and electrical work at California refinery

ConDig (20-Nov-17).  A division of construction and infrastructure company Primoris Services Corp has bagged a $27 million-plus contract for mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work at an oil refinery in Southern California.

Work on the construction project is expected to start in the fourth quarter of this year and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of next year.

The deal with the unnamed client was secured by ARB Industrial, part of the Texas-based company’s power, industrial and engineering division.

It follows a previous award to ARB involving civil work, horizontal directional drilling, interconnecting pipe lines, and installation of pigging and metering equipment for the project.

The construction scheme is part of a plan to reduce emissions and increase efficiency at the existing facilities, according to Primoris.

Last month, Primoris announced a $20 million contract to construct natural gas pipelines in Southern California.
