Six contractors share in $95M worth of projects for U.S. Navy

ConDig (24-Aug-17).  A total of six contractors have been selected for $95 million worth of design-build projects with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) in Norfolk, Virginia.

The U.S. Defense Department said the five contracts involve new construction, renovation, alteration and repairs for general construction projects.

The type of facilities include warehouses, training facilities, personnel support and service facilities and housing facilities.

The awardees include Virginia-based Ashford Leebcor JV LLC; Civil Works Contracting LLC in North Carolina and Florida-based Green-Simmons Co. Inc. It also includes Virginia-based Rand Enterprises Inc.; SmartATI-KMK JV in New Hampshire and Alaska-based Tikigaq Construction LLC.

Ashford Leebcor has already been awarded the first project for the track data coordinator trainer space renovation at Naval Air Station Oceana Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach. Work on the $594,683 deal is expected to be completed by March next year.
