Skanska bags two contracts worth a total of $120M

ConDig (02-Dec-20).  Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has secured two contracts in Georgia and Florida worth a total of $120 million.

The first is a $56 million additional contract for the Concourse T-North Extension and modernization project at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Under the deal with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the company will expand and upgrade the airport with the construction of five additional gates at the north end of Concourse T. It will also involve rebuilding a major portion of the North Terminal exit road, construct a Delta Air Lines ground support equipment facility and a fire station, as well as oversee relocations to the utilities’ infrastructure. 

Construction on the project started this month and is slated for completion in December 2022.

The second project is a $64 million contract for the construction of a new Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, in Orlando.

The scheme involves the building of a 371,000-square-foot institute that includes an eight-story hospital, which will house 75 inpatient rooms and 10 operating rooms (ORs). An adjoining 6-story medical office building will include two floors of ambulatory suites which will contain an added 12 ORs. The inpatient and outpatient facility will be dedicated solely to the care of orthopedic patients.

Construction started in November and set for completion in the second quarter of 2023.
