Skanska-led joint venture plugs into $68M power station deal

ConDig (09-Jan-18).  A joint venture between developer and contractor Skanska and engineer and architect Burns & McDonnell has landed a $68 million contract to build a generating plant in the Northeast of the US.

Under the deal with the unnamed client, Skanska and Burns & McDonnell will design and install a simple cycle generating facility.

Construction of the plant is underway and slated for completion in the summer next year.

In January, Skanska secured a $100 million contract to build a mixed-use development in Madisonville, Ohio, and also a $47 million deal to build a biology, engineering and psychology facility at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
