Skanska inks $90M care facility deal in California

ConDig (02-Dec-20).  Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has secured a $90 million deal to build five care facilities in California.

Under the deal with Cordilleras Health System in Redwood City, the company will build four Mental Health Rehabilitations Centers (MHRC) containing 16 beds for long-term mental healthcare. It will also construct a three-story, co-housing building that will support transitional clients.

Construction on the project kicked off in November and is slated for completion in December 2023.

Last week, Skanska said it had landed a $335 million contract to rebuild roadways and utilities at Los Angeles airport.

In October, Skanska secured a $91 million contract to upgrade an aluminum processing facility in the Southeast of the US.

In September, Skanska secured a $64 million contract to build a data center in Oregon. It also bagged a $106 million deal last month for the 95 Northbound viaduct replacement in Providence, Rhode Island.
