ConDig (05-May-25) Fisk Electric Company, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corporation, has secured a $99 million contract for the second phase of electrical work on a hospital project in Houston, Texas.
The contract, which includes work on the hospital tower and podium, covers electrical and fire alarm systems for both core infrastructure and interior buildout.
Fisk began work on the initial phase of the contract in the fourth quarter of 2024. Construction under the second phase started in March this year. Tutor Perini expects substantial completion of the full electrical scope by the end of 2028.
The new 14-story facility will become Harris County’s third Level I trauma center and is scheduled to open in late 2028. The hospital will span about 1.3 million square feet, featuring 390 private patient rooms and space to expand with an additional 60 rooms if needed.
Plans also include a rooftop helipad, 15 operating rooms, and a state-of-the-art hybrid operating suite.
The award is part of a larger guaranteed maximum price contract currently valued at $166 million for electrical services at the Harris Health hospital on the Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital campus.
The $99 million second-phase award was added to Tutor Perini’s project backlog in the first quarter of 2025. The company anticipates securing an additional $38 million for the project’s final phase later this year.
