Con Dig (13-Oct-26) — PERC Water Corporation, a subsidiary of Consolidated Water, has secured a design-build agreement worth approximately $39.8 million for the Central Coast Blue Advanced Water Purification Facility in California.

The City of Pismo Beach selected PERC Water through a competitive procurement process for a project intended to improve long-term local water supply reliability. City Council documents identify the approved contract amount as not exceeding $39,790,682.

The planned facility will further treat recycled wastewater using advanced purification technology before water is returned to the groundwater system. The work involves specialized process equipment alongside civil, piping, pumping, electrical and controls infrastructure.

Under the agreement, PERC Water will design, construct and test the plant, train city personnel and assist with initial operations. The project is expected to progress through design, permitting, construction and commissioning over approximately 24 months, with construction anticipated to begin in spring 2027.

Why it matters: The award creates a substantial confirmed design-build opportunity in California’s water sector, where supply resilience and advanced treatment requirements are driving technically complex infrastructure work.
