Goodwin Brothers lands $33.9M water treatment plant deal

ConDig (11-Feb-19).  St. Louis, Missouri-based contractor Goodwin Brothers Construction has secured a $33.9 million contract to build a water treatment plant at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Missouri.

Under the deal with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the company will carry out the project in Independence, Missouri, with completion slated of February 22, 2021.

Bids for the project were solicited through the internet with four received, the U.S. Department of Defense said.

It comes as Gilbane Federal JV, based in Concord, California, was awarded a $10 million firm-fixed-price contract for a two-phase design build of a blood donor center.

Work on the project will be performed in Fort Gordon, Georgia, with an estimated completion date of August 21, 2020

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers received six tenders for the construction project through the internet.
