ConDig (28-Mar-17).  Miles City, Montana-based contractor Oftedal Construction Inc. has secured a $9.49 million contract to revamp a section of the Beartooth Highway in Wyoming.

Under the Department of Transportation contract, Oftedal will oversee the reconstruction of a 3.773 km stretch of roadway on Park County Road US 212, also called Beartooth Highway.

This will involve increasing the width of the road to 30 feet from a current width of 18-20 feet. It also includes improving drainage by adding new culverts and building a concrete bridge over Little Bear Creek.

The anticipated notice to proceed date is set for April 28 and all work is scheduled to be completed by October 6.
