Perini lands two federal projects worth $48.9M

ConDig (29-Jul-25) Perini Management Services, Inc. (PMSI), a subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corporation, has started work on two federally funded infrastructure projects with a combined contract value of $48.9 million.

The first project project, located at the Rio Bayamon Housing site in Puerto Rico, was awarded by the United States Coast Guard.

Valued at $20.5 million, the design-build contract focuses on improving the site’s resiliency and utility infrastructure. The work includes constructing new access roads and a utility building, installing security fencing and gates, upgrading electrical and water distribution systems, and improving storm drainage.

Selective demolition and patching of existing roads and curbs are also part of the effort. Work began in January 2025 and is slated for completion by spring 2027.

The second involves barrier system repairs at Royal Air Force (RAF) Lakenheath in the United Kingdom. Awarded by the United States Air Force under the Worldwide Engineering & Construction (WE&C) contract, the $28.4 million task order includes civil, mechanical, electrical, and paving work.

The scope covers the design and construction of enhanced security fencing, upgraded aircraft, vehicle, and pedestrian gates, infrastructure to support surveillance systems, and new patrol roads.

Construction began in February 2025, with substantial completion expected in the fall of 2026.
