Newport, Rhode Island — US Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutters Homeport Pier

Skanska USA Civil Northeast has been awarded a $271.2 million contract by NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic to replace Pier 1 at Naval Station Newport with a new US Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter homeport pier. The project includes demolition of the existing approximately 100-ft by 1,580-ft pier and construction of a new approximately 80-ft by 1,000-ft pier capable of berthing four Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutters.

The scope also includes new substations, water and wastewater connections, compressed air, bulkhead construction, dredging, site improvements and underground utilities.
