Sanford, North Carolina — Caterpillar Compact Equipment Plant

Caterpillar plans to invest roughly $1 billion in a new manufacturing facility in Sanford to expand production of compact track loaders and telehandlers. The investment is aimed at increasing capacity for the company’s compact construction-equipment business.
