Skanska appoint Ward as president of US Commercial Development division

ConDig (13-Jul-17).  Developer and contractor Skanska has appointed Robert Ward as business unit president of its US Commercial Development division.

Ward, who has worked at the company since 2002, will start his new role effective July 13.

He most recently served as chief operating officer with responsibility for US commercial development operations including investment review, leasing, new markets and professional service functions, Skanska said.

Ward will report to Claes Larsson, executive vice president of Skanska AB, and replaces Shawn Hurley, who has decided to leave Skanska.

“Robert has a very strong customer focus and drive and has been instrumental in establishing Skanska as a commercial developer in our selected US markets. I look forward to continued work with Robert and exploring new markets and possibilities for Skanska in the US.” said Larsson.

Last week, Skanska landed a $41 million contract with the University of South Florida to build a research and education tower in Tampa, Florida.
