Skanska bags contract to build 40-story residential tower in Seattle

ConDig (5-Apr-17).  Skanska has secured a $152 million deal to build a 40-story residential tower in Seattle.

The Nexus tower, developed by Burrard Development, will feature a series of cubes offset by 8-degrees. The 55,000 square meter building will house 382 condominium units and ground-level retail and seven stories of underground parking.

It will also include a fitness center, media facility and outdoor patio in addition to a rooftop-level exhibition kitchen. A private dining area, sky-bar, recreation room, view terrace with open air kitchen and fireside lounge are also planned.

Construction is currently under way and a completion date is set for mid-2019.
