Skanska inks additional deal for Portland airport expansion

ConDig (05-Nov-19).  Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has signed an additional $42 million contract for the expansion of Portland airport.

Under the deal with the Port of Portland, Skanska and joint venture partner Hoffman Construction Company will demolish the existing Concourse A. The existing Concourse B will be renovated and expanded with the addition of six ground load gates and four loading bridge gates, as well as finish work to the exterior façade.

Construction is already underway, with substantial completion earmarked for September 2021.

In September, Skanska landed a $32 million deal to upgrade the University of Cincinnati College of Law in Cincinnati, in Ohio. It also said it had booked a $74 million deal to build residential apartments in Nashville, Tennessee.
