Skanska lands $1.2B contract to build four US data centers

ConDig (20-Aug-26) — Skanska has secured a $1.2 billion contract from an existing client to construct four new data centers in the southeastern United States.

The award will be included in the company’s US order bookings for the third quarter of 2026 and ranks among Skanska’s largest US projects to date.

The project comprises four data centers totaling approximately 808,000 square feet (75,000 square meters).

Skanska’s scope of work includes construction of the building shells, interior fit-out of technical spaces, support facilities and office areas.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, with completion expected in the third quarter of 2028.

The client and the specific project locations were not disclosed.
