Skanska lands $100M deal for mixed-use development in Ohio

ConDig (09-Jan-18).  Developer and contractor Skanska has bagged a $100 million contract to build a mixed-use development in Madisonville, Ohio.

Under the deal with RBM Development, the company will construct the second phase of the project, which features the redevelopment of the former NuTone manufacturing site.

Construction work kicked off this month and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter 2019.

Skanska is currently overseeing the construction of several other projects in the area, including the Summit Hotel and renovations and additions to Fifth Third arena on the University of Cincinnati campus.

The announcement comes as Skanska also unveiled that it had secured an additional order for $81 million with an existing client for the construction of a manufacturing facility in the western part of the US.

Construction work on the project with the unnamed client is under way and is slated for completion for the fourth quarter this year.

Last week, Skanska said it had landed a $47 million deal to build a biology, engineering and psychology facility at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania.
