Tutor Perini snags four contracts worth $774 million

ConDig (02-May-17).  Los Angeles, California-based civil and building construction company Tutor Perini Corporation (TPC) has pocketed four civil contracts worth about $774 million.

The company said that its subsidiary, Lunda Construction, is the apparent low bidder on a $322.7 million deal to build new twin bridges that will replace the existing twin arch bridge on the 1-74 in Iowa, Illinois.

Work on the Iowa Department of Transportation project is set to begin this summer, with substantial completion slated for the fourth quarter of 2020.

It comes as Tutor Perini has landed a $291.5 million contract with the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the construction of the Mid-Day Storage Yard portion of the East Side access project. Work is set to start this spring and expected to finish in the third quarter of 2020.

The company has also bagged a $82.2 million deal to provide design-build services for the Henry Hudson Bridge in New York City, along with a $77.9 million contract with the Maryland Department of Transportation for the Suitland Parkway Interchange improvements project in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
