Tutor Perini subsidiary nets $220M bridge design contract

ConDig (12-Jul-21) A team led by a subsidiary of civil, building and specialty construction company Tutor Perini has landed a $220 million contract for the design and construction of the I-70 Missouri River Bridge near Rocheport, Missouri.

The Lunda Construction Company design team also comprised of Parsons Corporation, Dan Brown & Associates and HZ United. 

The project comprises of the design and construction of two Missouri River bridges, one in each direction of travel, each with three lanes. Lunda is also replacing the County Road BB Bridge over I-70, Tutor Perini said. 

Design work is expected to kick off shortly after contracts are executed, with construction slated to begin later this year and substantial completion earmarked for the end of 2024.

In September, a joint venture led by Tutor Perini secured a $47 million contract for an explosive ordnance compound at a naval base in the US island territory of Guam.
