ConDig (10-Jul–23) Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has walked away with a $91 million deal to expand a hospital in Portland.
Under the amendment contract with Oregon Health & Science University, the project will involve exterior framing and cladding, roofing, fireproofing, patient lifts, long lead electrical and mechanical equipment for the new hospital expansion building.
Construction of the 50,000-square meter, 14 story hospital expansion began in 2022 and is slated to open to patients in 2026.
Last week, Skanska secured a $109 million contract to build a hospital in Lakeland, Florida.
Last month, Skanska secured a $311 million deal to build a residence and campus center for a university in Boston.
In April, Skanska landed a $67 million supplemental contract for a manufacturing facility in the western United States.
