ConDig (13-Oct-25) Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has inked a $175 million contract with Ridgeline Development Partners to build a mixed-use project in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
The development, known as The Bend, will include both a residential tower and a hotel, further expanding the city’s rapidly growing skyline.
The project will encompass about 50,800 square meters of new construction. Plans call for a 12-story residential tower with 261 apartments, shared amenity spaces, and three levels of underground parking.
Alongside it, Skanska will build a nine-story Moxy Hotel featuring 188 guest rooms and dedicated amenity areas. The project will also include 1,600 square meters of retail shell space, creating opportunities for new shopping and dining concepts.
Site work is already underway, with completion scheduled for September 2027.
Once finished, The Bend is expected to contribute to the continued revitalization of downtown Nashville, adding both residential capacity and hospitality options to one of the city’s most dynamic districts.
Earlier this month, Skanska, in a joint venture with Railroad Construction Company, secured a $148 million contract from the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission to build a new standby power generation facility in Newark, New Jersey.
Last month, a joint venture led by Swedish developer and contractor Skanska secured a $178 million contract to revamp roadways at Los Angeles International Airport.
