ConDig (10-Apr-26) Swedish developer and contractor has Skanska has secured a $142 million contract to build a technology facility in the United States, further strengthening its presence in the growing tech and data infrastructure segment.
The contract has been awarded by an existing client and will be recorded in Skanska’s US order bookings for the first quarter of 2026.
Construction work is scheduled to begin in April 2026, with completion expected in the first quarter of 2028.
While Skanska did not disclose the project’s exact location or the identity of the client, the award reflects continued investment in US technology-related construction, a segment that has seen strong growth in recent years driven by demand for digital infrastructure.
The project adds to Skanska’s expanding pipeline in North America, where contractors are increasingly targeting data centers and advanced technology facilities as key sources of nonresidential construction growth.
