Caterpillar launches five compact machines for tight jobsites

Con Dig (09-Oct-26) — Caterpillar has unveiled five compact equipment models aimed at contractors working in confined spaces, grading and light excavation, with the machines scheduled for hands-on demonstrations at Equip Exposition in Louisville on October 21–23.

The rollout comprises the TUL100 compact utility loader, 253 compact track loader, 301 CR micro excavator and 302.4 and 302.6 mini excavators. The 301 CR can pass through a doorway just 30 inches wide, while the 253 offers a rated operating capacity of 2,006 lb. The TUL100 is designed for confined-space work and offers a rated operating capacity above 1,000 lb.

The launches broaden Caterpillar’s offering for landscaping, site preparation, demolition and smaller construction projects. Caterpillar published individual product announcements on October 7. See the manufacturer’s press releases for model details.
