ConDig (15-Jun17). Developer and contractor Skanska has bagged a $49 million contract to revamp the east end of Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Under the deal with the City of Fort Lauderdale, the company will build a 24,000 square-meter, 670-space parking facility, an amenity deck, beachfront park with green spaces, architectural shade canopy and interactive water feature.
The deal also features streetscape improvements to the entire beach corridor in the city.
Construction work started earlier this month and the project is expected to be complete in August 2019.
Earlier this month, Skanska announced that it had secured a $120 million contract to build a manufacturing facility in the western region of the US with an unnamed client.
