ConDig (07-Jun-17). A joint venture comprising of Bethel Native Corp’s federal arm and Unit Company has secured a $37.3 million contract to build a four-bay aircraft hangar at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.
Under the firm-fixed-price deal with the US Army, the joint venture will also build a propulsion maintenance and corrosion control dispatch facility.
Work on the facility is expected to be completed by June 30 2019, the Defense Department said.
The Army Corps of Engineers received three bids for the firm-fixed-price contract via an online-based tender.
The service branch obligated the full contract amount at the time of award from its military construction funds in fiscal 2017.
Unit Company is a general contractor based in Anchorage and Bethel Native is a certified company providing federal logistical support services.
