ConDig (06-May-22) Dallas, Texas-based construction and infrastructure company Primoris Services Corp has landed a $130 million contract for a solar project in the south of the country.
Under the deal with the unnamed client, the contract will feature engineering, procurement and construction of a utility-scale solar facility.
Initial project construction is slated to start in the fourth quarter of this year, with completion of the scheme expected in the third quarter of 2023.
“This project is another great example of our segments working together to provide a complete solution for our clients,” said Tom McCormick, president and chief executive officer of Primoris.
“In addition to the photovoltaic work that our Energy/Renewables Segment will execute, our Utilities Segment will perform the high-voltage work.”
In November, Primoris secured two heavy civil contracts from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for a combined value of $520 million.
It also secured two solar contracts for engineering, procurement, and construction of a utility-scale solar facility in Southwest and Midwest for more than $120 million.
