Primoris snags two utility contracts worth a total of $25M

ConDig (01-Aug-18).  Dallas, Texas-based construction and infrastructure company Primoris Services Corp has secured two utility contracts worth a total of $25 million.

Under the first deal, the group’s transmission and distribution division landed a $14 million master service agreement with an unnamed utility client.

The contract is a one-year deal for electrical distribution services in North Carolina and includes electrical underground installation, replacement of cable and directional drilling.

It comes as Primoris’ utilities and distribution division secured a $11 million contract for an underground transmission conversion project with a unnamed utility customer in Southern California.

The work features installing nearly three miles of trench and conduit system between two substations, as well as installation of eleven vaults, thirteen telecom handholds and one pier foundation.

Work is slated to start in the third quarter of this year and scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2019.

Last month, Primoris bagged a $75 million master service agreement for electrical distribution work in Northern Florida.

Primoris completed the acquisition of Houston specialty energy infrastructure contractor Willbros Group Inc in July.
