Skanska lands $52M healthcare revamp deal 

ConDig (14-Dec-22) Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has secured a $52 million contract to regenerate a healthcare facility in New York.

Under the deal with the unnamed client, Skanska will oversee a multiphase renovation that will provide new offices, common spaces, laboratories and upgraded infrastructure, along with heating and ventilating systems. The company said it will improve the health and well-being of the local community.

The revamp project is currently underway and is slated for completion in May 2025. 

Last month, Skanska said it had landed a $58 million contract as part of the joint venture vehicle to redevelop a building in Houston, Texas.

In October, Skanska bagged a $150 million contract to reconstruct and rehabilitate the Williamsburg Bridge in New York.

Skanska landed a $72 million contract to expand a health and wellness facility in New Jersey.
