Skanska lands $79.5M science center deal in Virginia

ConDig (06-Feb–23) Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has bagged a $79.5 million contract to build a science center in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Under the deal with the College of William and Mary, the contractor will construct a 38,000 square meter modern multi-function teaching and research facility. It will also renovate an existing 3,000 square meter science center.

Construction on the project started this month and is earmarked for completion in July 2025. 

Las month, Skanska landed a $480 million deal to build a bus depot in Jamaica, New York.

In December, Skanska snagged a $56 million deal to revamp naval shipyard berths in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Earlier in December, Skanska bagged a $52 million contract to regenerate a healthcare facility in New York.
