Skanska secures $120M deal to build manufacturing facility

ConDig (02-Jun-17).  Developer and contractor Skanska has bagged a $120 million contract to build a manufacturing facility in the western region of the US.

The New York-based company said that construction work with the unnamed client was underway and is slated to be completed in February next year.

It added that the deal will be included in the US order bookings for the second quarter of this year.

In April, Skanska announced that its joint venture partnership with Ames Construction had secured a $244 million contract with Riverside County Transportation Commission to build express lanes on the I-15 freeway in California.

The project involves revamping I-15 between Cajalco Road and State Route 60 in southern California by adding two tolled express lanes in each direction, which total a distance of 14.6 miles.

It also announced in April that it had been selected to develop and build a $360 million, 35-story office tower in downtown Houston.

The construction element of the project is worth $151 million, with completion expected in the second quarter of 2019.
