Tutor Perini subsidiary lands $80.7M deal for university residence

ConDig (04-Jan-24) A subsidiary of civil, building and specialty construction company Tutor Perini has secured a $80.7 million contract to build a residence hall at Mississippi State University in Starkville.

Roy Anderson Corp will oversee the construction of a 155,000 square-foot, five-story residence hall on the campus, which will include 400 beds, a dining hall, day spaces, offices and a storm shelter.

Work is slated to kick off in February, with substantial completion earmarked for the spring of 2025.

In November, Tutor said its outlook for continued strong cash generation over the next several quarters was “excellent” as losses at the Los Angeles-based company deepened in the third quarter.

In September, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini secured a $47 million fixed-price contract for a visitor center at the Everglades National Park in Florida.
