Fisk Electric sails away with $43.4M Port of Miami deal

ConDig (24-Oct-25)  Tutor Perini subsidiary Fisk Electric Company has secured a $43.4 million electrical services contract for the Cruise Terminal G Complex at the Port of Miami, expanding the company’s footprint in one of the nation’s busiest cruise ports.

The project will include construction of a new electrical vault to support Terminal G’s power distribution systems, installation of conduits for both primary and emergency power supply, and the addition of main switchgear, transfer switches, switchboards, and panelboards, Tutor Perini said.

In line with Miami-Dade County’s clean energy goals, the project will also bring a major electric vehicle (EV) charging upgrade to the site. The new parking garage at Terminal G will feature 50 EV charging stations on completion, with built-in infrastructure to support as many as 430 additional chargers in the future.

Fisk Electric’s scope also extends to neighboring facilities, including supplying power to existing chillers and a fire pump at Terminal F, replacing a 2,000-kW generator in the Central Utility Plant, and installing three new generators with emergency paralleling switchgear to ensure uninterrupted power for life safety systems. The work package includes advanced lighting systems for both the terminal and parking areas.

Construction has already begun, with substantial completion expected by November 2027. The contract was added to Tutor Perini’s backlog in the third quarter of 2025.

Last month, Rudolph and Sletten, a subsidiary of Tutor Perini Corporation, has secured a $960 million contract to construct the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
