ConDig (22-Nov-17). A joint venture between global engineering group Jacobs Engineering Group Inc and architects Ewingcole has bagged a $99 million architect-engineering deal with the US Navy.
The firm-fixed-price deal with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest will involve preparing design-bid-build construction contract packages.
It will also feature studies related to the design of new facilities; technical reviews of government-prepared designs and design-build packages; preparation of planning and programming support documents; coordination of various technical disciplines and identification and abatement methods for existing hazardous materials.
The projects are expected to be completed by November 2022.
This US Navy said the contract with Jacobs Ewingcole was competitively procured via the Navy website, with seven proposals received.
Earlier this year, the Jacobs Ewingcole joint venture was awarded a $45 million firm-fixed-price contract for general architect engineering services to primarily support the Cadet Barracks Upgrade program at the US Military Academy, West Point, New York.
