ConDig (15-Aug-17). Construction and infrastructure company Primoris Services Corp has landed a $72 million road widening and bridge replacement contract in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Under the design-build deal with the Louisiana Department of Transportation, Dallas, Texas-based Primoris will widen about six miles of Interstate 10 from four to six lanes.
The contract also involves the widening of two bridges, replacing two bridges and raising one other. It also features the building of drainage structures, concrete paving with associated earthwork and base course, concrete railing, lighting, signage, and pavement markings.
Work is set to kick off in the third quarter of this year and scheduled to finish in the first quarter of 2020.
Last month, Primoris secured a $21 million contract to build a rail spur and track yard at a port in Freeport, Texas.
