ConDig (16-Apr-18). Developer and contractor Skanska has inked a $44 million deal to build a new campus at Southern New Hampshire University’s College of Engineering, Technology and Aeronautics.
The new facility will be located on the west side of SNHU’s North River Road campus. It will feature creative work spaces for students; flexible classrooms; laboratory space; a cafe; multiple collaboration spaces and space to house and operate 2D/3D printing equipment. It will also include materials science and robotics machinery.
To accommodate the new building, Skanska will also demolish two outdated dormitories.
Construction has started and is slated for completion in the fall of 2019.
It comes as Skanska has also signed a $38 million contract with an existing client to perform tenant improvements to two office buildings in Redmond, Washington.
Construction has started, with completion scheduled for November this year.
Last month, the company secured a $163 million extension to its contract to build a mixed-use scheme in Nashville.
