Skanska to build $113M clinic center in Atlanta

ConDig (08-Jan-20).  A joint venture led by Swedish developer and contractor Skanska has secured a $113 million deal to build a surgery and clinic center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Under the deal with Grady Health System, the joint venture vehicle, which includes H.J. Russell & Company, will build a 10-story, about 53,000-square-meter, ambulatory surgery and clinic center that will house several outpatient clinics and surgeries.

The free-standing Center for Advance Surgical Services will expand Grady’s ability to serve patients at the main campus, offering 25% more operating room capacity and 45% more clinical capacity, according to Skanska.

Construction on the project started in December, with completion slated for September 2022.

In November, Skanska signed an additional $42 million contract for the expansion of Portland airport.

In September, Skanska landed a $32 million deal to upgrade the University of Cincinnati College of Law in Cincinnati, in Ohio. It also said it had booked a $74 million deal to build residential apartments in Nashville, Tennessee.
